Cambridge Audio Yoyo (M) speakers recalled in Canada over fire risk

Health Canada says the lithium-ion batteries in Cambridge Audio Yoyo (M) portable speakers may overheat and create a fire hazard.

What the primary source says

Health Canada published a consumer product recall on 22 September 2026 for Cambridge Audio Yoyo (M) portable Bluetooth speakers sold in pairs. The recall covers dark grey, light grey and blue units, with references C10930, C10931 and C10965; every unit is affected wherever and whenever it was bought. The regulator says the lithium-ion batteries may overheat.

Consumers in Canada should stop using the speakers, keep them switched off and unplugged, and not charge them. They should contact Cambridge Audio for a refund and keep the speakers until further instructions. Health Canada reported no incidents or injuries in Canada as of 14 September. This Canadian recall does not by itself establish that the same product is recalled in the UK.

Why it matters

The useful distinction

Portable electronics can remain in homes long after a marketplace listing or retail sale has ended. The model references and colour details help buyers check whether a Canadian recall applies to their pair.
