OPSS blocks five-metre telescopic ladder over fall risk

OPSS reports that a five-metre telescopic ladder has unclear locking mechanisms and lacks a required stabiliser bar.

What the primary source says

OPSS report 2609-0091, published 21 September 2026, identifies a Ningbo Foreign Trade Co Ltd 5M Telescopic Steel Ladder, SKU LU-DJ-5M-J-GT-D. Product identifiers are G8926-56656986919 and RVG8926-260709-0008-86.

The report says excessive rung spacing, unclear locks and a missing stabiliser bar create serious injury risks. A ladder that is not securely locked can collapse, causing falls or trapping injuries. The import was rejected at the UK border. The notice gives no consumer recall remedy.

Why it matters

The useful distinction

Buyers need reliable locking and stability information, not simply a stated working height.
