OPSS rejects KENDA-labelled e-bike over unfused plug fire risk
OPSS reports a serious fire risk from the unfused two-pin plug supplied with an e-bike described in its notice as KENDA.
What the primary source says
The 21 September 2026 OPSS notice identifies frame MQMV2025050065, barcode 2502060273, battery HYY1859045, charger LBC047546030H and charger barcode AP2502HB060273. Its description records KENDA lettering on the tyres; it does not identify KENDA as the bicycle manufacturer.
OPSS says the supplied plug lacks adequate fuse protection, allowing overheating during a fault. Documentation and conformity information also need improvement. The UK import was rejected. The page lists PSD references 2609-0123, 2609-0127 and 2609-0120 and gives no consumer recall remedy.

Why it matters
The useful distinction
Match the frame, battery and charger identifiers rather than relying on a name printed on a tyre.
