OPSS rejects Yongkang drill kit over adapter shock risk
A Yongkang MinRui 21V drill kit was rejected at the UK border after its power adapter presented a serious electric-shock risk.
What the primary source says
OPSS published report 2609-0132 on 21 September 2026 for the Yongkang MinRui Electric Tool Plant 21V Cordless Drill Driver Kit. It identifies adapter DX-2106, supplied with a black-and-red drill, battery and carry case.
OPSS says the adapter fails BS 1363 dimensional requirements and has insufficient separation between primary and secondary circuits. Insulation deterioration could expose live wiring. A fusible resistor is also absent, and labelling and documentation need improvement. The import was rejected; the notice does not announce a consumer recall remedy.

Why it matters
The useful distinction
A charging adapter needs scrutiny even when a cordless tool appears to operate normally.
