Australia recall warns Kao Liese hair colour label may hide serious reaction warning
The ACCC says an unclear and misplaced warning label on Kao Liese Prettia Bubble Hair Colour creates a serious injury risk if consumers cannot read it before use.
What the primary source says
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission published a recall on 18 September 2026 for Kao Liese Prettia Bubble Hair Colour (PRA 2026/21029). The hair-dye foam's warning label is unclear, in the wrong position and does not comply with regulatory requirements. The ACCC says this creates a serious injury risk from a reaction to the contents if the warning cannot be identified and read before use.
Australian consumers should stop using the product immediately and return it, or proof of purchase, to the place of purchase for a full refund. This is an Australian recall and does not establish that the product is recalled in the UK.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
Cosmetic safety depends on warnings being visible and understood before use, not merely present somewhere on the packaging. Buyers should check local recall notices when importing or buying cosmetics online.
