Australia recalls Triumph dirt bikes over exhaust-rocker-shaft failure risk
The ACCC recalled specified Triumph TF450 dirt bikes because an exhaust rocker shaft may seize or stick and lead to a crash.
What the primary source says
The ACCC published a recall on 29 September 2026 for Triumph TF450-RC and TF450 X dirt bikes, PRA 2026/21039. Affected models include the 2025 TF450-RC Edition and 2026 TF450-C, TF450-E and TF450-X, with affected VINs listed by the regulator. The exhaust rocker shaft may seize or stick, causing exhaust valves to remain open or break; loss of engine performance could cause a crash. Owners should stop using affected bikes immediately and contact an authorised Triumph dealer for a free cylinder-head replacement. This Australian recall does not establish a UK recall.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
The model years, variants and VIN list are essential for checking a used or imported dirt-bike listing; a general TF450 description is not enough.
