Audi Q3 seat-belt recall notice updated with production-date information

Safety Gate has updated Germany’s Audi Q3 recall notice, which now identifies production from 21 October 2025 to 4 August 2026 under campaign 69SG. The underlying recall began in August; this is an information update, not a new UK recall.

What the primary source says

Germany’s Safety Gate notice for an Audi Q3 seat-belt recall has been updated with additional production-date and affected-vehicle information, according to its published corrigendum. The alert catalogue marks the entry as updated on 28 September 2026.

The notice identifies Audi Q3 vehicles with production dates from 21 October 2025 to 4 August 2026, type approval e1*2018/858*00543* (FJ), and manufacturer campaign code 69SG.

According to the German notification, a seat belt may not be correctly attached to the vehicle body. It may therefore fail to provide adequate restraint during an accident, increasing the risk of injury.

The underlying manufacturer recall took effect on 14 August 2026. Safety Gate originally published the alert on 27 August. The updated details must not be described as a newly launched recall. The notice also records measures in Croatia, Estonia, France and Sweden; it does not establish that the same campaign applies in the UK.

The official record states that affected vehicles are recalled from end users, but does not set out a repair procedure or publish a vehicle-count figure in the visible notice. Owners should use their vehicle identification details and campaign 69SG when checking applicability with Audi; a production-date range alone is not a substitute for an individual vehicle check.

Why it matters

The useful distinction

Updated production details can improve recall checks without suggesting that every Q3—or vehicles in an unconfirmed jurisdiction—is affected.
