Australia recalls Honda Civic, ZR-V and Accord models over seat-frame injury risk
Honda Australia is recalling 554 Civic, ZR-V and Accord vehicles built from 2023 to 2025 because a seatback-frame edge may increase occupant injury risk in a crash. The Australian recall is REC-006727, campaign 6JD.
What the primary source says
Vehicle Recalls says a manufacturing issue may leave the left-side seatback frame edge on the driver and passenger seats below the minimum radius required by Australian Design Rule 3/04. In a crash, contact with the edge could increase the risk of injury to occupants. Owners of affected vehicles will be contacted by Honda Australia and asked to arrange a free repair through a local dealership. The notice applies to 24YM–26YM Civic, 23YM–25YM ZR-V and 25YM Accord models, all variants, with the model year and VIN determining whether a vehicle is affected.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
This is a confirmed Australian vehicle recall with a defined model-year and VIN scope. Buyers and owners should check the recall number and VIN information rather than assume every Civic, ZR-V or Accord is affected; the notice does not establish a UK recall.
