Estonia recalls VE461 hummingbird earrings over cadmium and nickel findings

Safety Gate records a 28 September recall of VE461 hummingbird earrings sold by an Estonian online trader. The alert reports excessive cadmium and nickel release.

What the primary source says

Safety Gate published Estonia’s alert SR/02772/26 on 1 October for dangling hummingbird-design earrings, model VE461. The listed online trader is parlipesa.ee.

The alert reports excessive cadmium content and nickel release. It explains that nickel can cause allergic reactions and cadmium can accumulate in the body and harm health.

An importer’s recall from end users took effect on 28 September 2026, following market withdrawal on 23 September. The alert supplies no refund procedure; buyers should quote model VE461 when asking the seller about the recall.

The notification concerns Estonia, not an established UK recall.

Why it matters

The useful distinction

The model and online-trader details help purchasers identify the earrings; findings concern this product, not all jewellery.
