OPSS adds The Works to Eurowrap blue-balloon recall
The UK recall notice for Eurowrap blue party balloons was updated on 1 October to add The Works as a distributor. The original recall concerns excessive nitrosamines and nitrosatable substances.
What the primary source says
OPSS has updated its Eurowrap balloon recall to include The Works' distributor recall. The update was published on 1 October 2026; the original notice and recall date are 14 August 2026.
The affected product is Eurowrap 25pk Blue Party Balloons, batch 5330002193, SKU 12924-BCC. OPSS describes a serious chemical risk from excessive N-nitrosamines and N-nitrosatable substances and says the product does not meet the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Consumers should stop using the balloons immediately, keep them away from children and return them to the retailer for a full refund or replacement. Check the exact batch and SKU rather than assuming all balloons are affected.
This is an update to an existing UK recall, not a newly discovered incident.

Why it matters
The useful distinction
The added distributor may help more purchasers recognise an existing recall and act on it.
