Sweden reports restricted substances in four Amazon-listed products

Four Safety Gate notices published on 1 October record Swedish findings on two karaoke machines, a wireless mouse and a push-game toy. The notices cite restricted substances and market withdrawals, but do not date the tests or withdrawals.

What the evidence says

Sweden has reported chemical-compliance findings involving four products listed through Amazon, in Safety Gate notices published on 1 October 2026.

The notices identify: • AFF IMPORT Zestaw Karaoke, model 4270/01-2025-Z, barcode 5904996087548, Amazon reference B0DMVRVBWP (SR/02761/26). • Fede Mini karaoke machine, models X001Y9BBI9 and K36, batch 20250801FEDEK36, Amazon reference B0CT95Z6HR (SR/02759/26). • Wireless mouse X002C5VTIL, Amazon reference B0FDR3YPZW (SR/02757/26). • Speed Push Game X001XLLWYV, Amazon reference B0CR75C6XW (SR/02751/26).

The Swedish notifications report excessive lead in solder in all four products, with excessive cadmium also identified in the Fede machine, mouse and push game. For the AFF IMPORT machine, the cable also contained excessive phthalates and short-chain chlorinated paraffins. The notices identify breaches of restrictions on hazardous substances in electrical equipment; the AFF IMPORT notice additionally cites persistent-organic-pollutant restrictions.

Safety Gate classifies these notices under environmental risk and records withdrawal from the market by the importer or another economic operator. Neither the test dates nor withdrawal dates are supplied. The publication date must not be presented as the date of a new recall.

These are specific regulator findings, not evidence that all karaoke machines, wireless mice or similar toys are dangerous, nor proof of harm to a particular user. The notices do not establish a UK recall or a product-specific consumer refund process. Buyers can compare their exact product identifiers with the official notices and ask the seller for information about the recorded withdrawal.

Why it matters

The useful distinction

Specific model and listing references help buyers and reviewers distinguish an official chemical-compliance finding from a general allegation about online products.

Scope note

This briefing is an independent summary of the evidence sources below. Context-only links are not used as factual authority. It does not establish that a product, organisation or listing is unsafe, unlawful or non-compliant beyond what the evidence reports.
