Emerspring mattresses recalled over fire hazard and flammability standard breach
CPSC recalled queen-size Emerspring mattresses sold on Amazon because they violate the mandatory mattress flammability standard.
What the primary source says
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Emerspring mattresses on 24 September 2026. The affected mattresses are 12 inches thick, queen-sized, with a white top and sides and green trim. A sewn-in label shows prototype ID <EMERS-12> and manufacture date 6/2025. The mattresses violate the mandatory flammability standard and pose a serious fire injury risk.
About 263 mattresses were sold on Amazon from January through May 2026 for $226. Consumers should stop using them and contact Style Homeware for a free fitted cover that brings the mattress into compliance. CPSC reported no incidents or injuries. This US recall is not evidence of a UK recall.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
A specific prototype ID and manufacture date can distinguish a recalled online mattress from other products sold under a similar brand.
