Love To Dream portable sleep machines recalled over charger-related fire risk
US recall 26-798 covers portable sleep machines sold through major retailers and online marketplaces because an incompatible charger can overheat the lithium-ion battery.
What the primary source says
The US Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a recall of Love To Dream portable sleep machines on 24 September 2026. Only model LTD-SM23 with date code 7W15TN is included; both markings are on the machine or its box. The lithium-ion battery can overheat if the charger is not compatible, creating fire and burn hazards.
About 4,000 machines were sold from February 2025 to September 2026 through Target, Nordstrom, Love To Dream and online sellers including Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, Babylist and Poshmommy. Owners should stop using the machine, register it for a refund and follow the official instructions for lithium-battery disposal. No incidents or injuries were reported in the CPSC notice.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
A product can be recalled because of the supplied charging arrangement, so the model and date code matter more than the product name alone.
