LandTale bed rails recalled over entrapment and asphyxiation risk
YunHeng is recalling EBR001 adult portable bed rails sold on Amazon in the US after mandatory-standard failures.
What the primary source says
CPSC has announced a US recall of LandTale adult portable bed rails, SKU EBR001. The white-framed rails have black foam grips and measure 18 inches wide by 42 inches high. About 730 were sold through Amazon from February to June 2026.
Users can become trapped within the rail or between it and the mattress, creating an asphyxiation risk. The rails also lack required warnings and do not meet the mandatory standard. No incidents were reported. Owners should stop using them and contact YunHeng for a refund, following the official disassembly, marking, photograph and disposal instructions. This notice applies to the identified US product; it is not evidence of a UK recall.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
Portable bed rails can introduce entrapment hazards instead of preventing falls.
