Cupcakes and Cashmere floor lamps recalled over fire and shock risk
Designs Direct is recalling specified three-light lamps sold by HomeGoods after wiring failures, including two reported shock or burn injuries.
What the primary source says
CPSC has announced a US recall of Cupcakes and Cashmere three-light floor lamps. Model 7927-OZ with multicoloured glass covers style codes 190734 and 211918; cream-glass model 7927-OZ1 covers 192249, 208605 and 213058.
About 4,200 lamps were sold by HomeGoods from June 2025 to July 2026. The cord or internal wiring can smoke, melt, spark, overheat or ignite. CPSC records 11 reports, including two shock or burn injuries. Owners should stop using the lamp, switch it off and unplug it, then follow Designs Direct's cord-cutting and photograph instructions for a refund. Never cut a connected power cord. The recall notice does not establish UK coverage.
