GBYMIUY magnetic stick-figure toys recalled over magnet-ingestion risk
The US recall covers 30-piece sets marked X004TVHD2Z sold on Amazon; carers should take them away from children.
What the primary source says
CPSC has announced a US recall of GBYMIUY magnetic stick-figure toy sets. The packs contain 30 multicoloured figures and carry identifier X004TVHD2Z. About 10,750 were sold on Amazon from April to July 2026.
The toys contain loose, high-powered magnets and violate the mandatory toy standard. Swallowed magnets can attract one another inside the body and cause severe internal injury or death. The notice reports no injuries. Carers should stop use, take the sets away from children and contact GBYMIUY for a refund, following the official photograph and disposal instructions. This notice does not establish a UK recall.
Why it matters
The useful distinction
Small magnetic parts pose a different and potentially severe hazard from ordinary small toys.
